Terms of Use

Last updated 5 November 2026

Using Blur Document

Blur Document is a free tool, run by Hashtag Consultancy, for hiding information in documents, images and text. By using it you agree to these terms. You don't need an account, and your files stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy).

Check the result before you share it

Automatic detection helps, but it can miss things or flag the wrong things, especially on photos, low-quality scans and handwriting. You are responsible for reviewing every exported file and making sure everything you need hidden is covered before you share it.

Acceptable use

Use Blur Document only for documents you have the right to handle, and only to hide information. Don't use it to alter documents in order to mislead or defraud anyone, or for anything unlawful.

No warranty

The tool is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Hashtag Consultancy is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including information that was not hidden.

Changes

We may update the tool and these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Questions: hello@blurdocument.com.
