Privacy Policy
Short version: your files and text never leave your device. We don't use cookies, ads or accounts.

Your files and text
Documents, images and text you open in Blur Document are read, analysed and exported entirely inside your browser. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see them. Closing the tab discards them.
What your browser downloads, and from where
- The app itself, plus the AI and face-detection models, come from this website.
- The text-recognition (OCR) engine and its English language data come from cdn.jsdelivr.net, a public content delivery network. Like any website you visit, it receives your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches these files. It never receives your documents.
What is stored on your device
- Your preferences (theme, detection settings) in your browser's local storage.
- Downloaded AI models in your browser's cache, so they don't download again.
Nothing here is sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Hosting and usage statistics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't build a profile of you; we only see totals, such as how many people visited a page.
What we don't do
- No cookies, advertising or tracking pixels.
- No accounts, so no personal data to store.
- We don't sell or share data, because we don't collect it.
If you email us
If you write to hello@blurdocument.com, we use your email only to reply. Please don't attach identity documents: we never need them to help you.
